The Bayside Oceanfront Resort is an iconic 60-room oceanfront property in Parksville.

Approached by the Owner of the Bayside Resort, Saywell Contracting was asked to be the Construction Manager for a multifaceted, multiyear plan to renovate and expand the Bayside Resort in Parksville.

Phase 1 was inclusive of a 60-room renovation, while occupied. Phase 2 was a lobby rejuvenation. Phase 3 was a transformation of the Restaurant and Lounge comprised of finishes inspired by the newly renovated lobby. The owner was looking specifically for a Construction Manager that could work outside the box. Since he did not have a design, we were responsible for project inception, budget creation, tender and sub trade award and construction.

Since this is an operating hotel, time was of the essence. We completed the renovation by phases and met every date outlined.  This was done by working weekends, holidays and loading manpower at correct times.

In the spirit of keeping our commitment to maintain long lasting relationships, Saywell Contracting performed a bathroom renovation at the Waddling Dog Inn for the same Owner.
