A developer approached us with a preliminary plan to construct two rental apartment buildings and wanted to know if their vision was achievable. After several preliminary meetings refining design requirements and budget, we were able to show their vision could be met. Our first task was to implement a design and consultant team through competitive proposals. Once the design team was established, we were able to complete the design, moving through all aspects of the Construction Management Contract Pre-Construction Services. The project was tendered in November 2016 and came in over budget. After 2 months of value engineering, we were able to reduce the budget approx. 10% and commenced construction services in February 2017.
