The former 24,099 sf La-Z-Boy showroom was transformed into a state-of-the-art fitness centre featuring a group fitness room, stretching room, fully tiled locker rooms, women’s-only fitness room, two hydro massage rooms, a children’s room, and office space.
Throughout the project, several design changes were made which Saywell Contracting and the sub-trades implemented to in order to make it fit within the schedule.
Sub-trades were scheduled to work at night to prevent encroachment in workspaces with other trades, and in order to complete everything on time, a trade had 14 workers on site for 28 days.
At the end of only three months the project came in on time and on budget.
